Why Traditional Polish Salt Lamps Are Best

Colors: Salt crystal was formed millions of years ago in a spectrum of colors that range from red, orange, apricot to white. Nature made these crystals so even within a color group some are darker or lighter than others and there are often other colors in the crystal. This adds to the beauty and individuality of each lamp. No two are ever the same.

Construction: Every salt crystal has its own characteristics. To bring out the beauty of a particular piece of salt crystal, it must be chipped by hand and checked by lighting it several times during the shaping process.

Wall thickness and light candlepower are important because sufficient light must be able to get through the salt. Because each crystal transmits light differently, each crystal must be drilled differently and the light bulb chosen to give the best effect. Some crystals require two or three lights added in different places in the crystal.

Our Polish hand chipped lights are checked several times and the best combination of wall thickness, light power and number of lights is chosen for that unique salt crystal.

Each light is hand chipped. Salt crystals are NOT subjected to water flushing techniques (the process generally used in Asia) that destroy the unique effect that you get when a salt crystal is chipped. Because they are hand chipped, they have rough surfaces that are shaped to bring out a crystal's unique beauty.

So every light is UNIKAT (unique).

Wiring: We offer fully assembled lamps with and without bases. Of course, that does not include salt candlesticks and plain salt crystals.

The lamps come safely wired. The wire, switch and plugs are chosen specially for the destination company. Only approved electrical products are use.

We consider this so important that we include information about our wiring here.

Here is an example of Polish wiring. Notice the in line switch. Polish lamp wiring carries electrical safety certificates.

Also please note that you can easily remove the base from the salt lamp crystal and change the bulb. Shown is a 15 watt bulb. Polish lamps come with 15 to 45 watt bulbs. And they are, of course, wired to your country's electric system requirements.

If you wish to have special wiring for your region, please give us the specifications. We will discuss any price variations that may result.

Boring: The lamps come properly drilled so that a bright light will not overheat the crystal and cause problems at the connection points between the base and the salt crystal.

Salt candle holders are bored so that you can use tea lights for illumination. And they a have pencil sized hole in the bottom so that you can remove stubborn tea lights, or anything else that get stuck at the bottom of the hole.

Weight Versus Size: Salt lamps are traditionally sold by weight. Our lights are usually larger in size than our competitors' because we remove a lot of weight when we bore holes to insert the lights. Many salt lamps - not ours - have a minimum hole bored so that a light can be added. This cuts production costs. We first consider the beauty of the lamp and then we consider the weight.

Lighting: These lamps come with brighter lights that impart a romantic glow to the lamp and are effective in heating the lamp. Lights are supported by a specially designed and corrosion resistant wiring kit that is inserted in a large diameter hole bored in the salt crystal.

To be effective ionizers, salt crystals must get very warm. That means that they must contain light bulbs that are powerful enough to generate enough heat for that particular crystal. Our lamps are properly fitted with lights that balance beauty and effect.

Our lamps are very popular sellers in Poland at the health fairs because people know that they are made with care and attention to the positive effects of ionization.

When you choose a lamp, be sure that it is not just a piece of salt crystal with a light. Be sure that it is made like ours. It should be an individual piece that has been hand chipped and adjusted to give off the best light and ionization. For example, look at these two salt lamps. They are large pieces of salt crystal. One is properly lighted with three lights that show the full beauty of the crystal and properly heat the lamp for ionization. The second has only one light. Not only is it boring to look at, it does not have enough light to get warm and emit the healthy negative ions.

About Price and Quality

What have people said about salt lamps from Poland as compared to salt lamps from Pakistan?

First they have always said that salt lamps from Pakistan are cheaper. And we agree.

And we know why.

Here is one letter from a customer who has compared the lamps herself.

Begin quotation:
"I purchased five salt lamps through you about one year ago. I'm enjoying them, and so are my relatives.

At one point, we discussed larger lamps, like the ones that have 2 or 3 lights in them. How much are these?

Also, the wooden basket style lamp proved most popular. How much do they cost now?

Thank you for your help.

Sincerely,
MX

P.S. After having received a salt lamp from Pakistan as a gift, I can truly say that there is NO comparison! The Polish salt lamps have a beautiful glowing color, have easy to change bulbs, seem to have safer wiring (mine has been on constantly for almost a year!), and are, overall, prettier. "
End Quotation:

And here is the answer to my query to a Pakistani salt lamp broker who asked to buy salt lamps from Poland to sell to his clients.

Begin quotation:
"Well here is the answer to your questions. Sometimes I Don't find the worksman fit for the job. They ask for too much. I am really really very pissed of at my local workmen and suppliers

And plus the quality of salt varies, due to the depth of the mines and other geological factors, as well as its texture. Pink Rock Salt is hard to find in Pakistan whereas abundant in Poland according to my information.

Also at times, I might not ship from my home country. I might tell you to ship to a certain customer of mine by crediting your Bank Account. This is mainly due to the difference in shipping costs at my country. There is a unique product of yours I am interested in, which are shapely cut bath salts. I have not seen them in Pakistan."
End Quotation.

When you buy Polish salt lamps you get quality and service. That is why the price is higher. That is the way of the world. You get what you pay for. And when you sell quality you get repeat customers who appreciate quality.
