Comparison Chart
As one of the most well known salt lamp marketing centers in the world, we get offers from many factories that want us to sell salt lamps for them. On this page we will show you why we choose only traditional hand chipped Polish salt lamps made by Polish companies.Remember that we are buyers also. So this is written for you, a buyer, by us, professional buyers who are buying lamps for our customers - you. Our evaluation is intended to help you to make the best choice for your customers.
To enable us to make this comparison on the internet, I have presented two set of pictures. The top set is Polish and the bottom set Pakistani. The pictures of Pakistani lamps were submitted to me by a Pakistani factory as pictures of their best products. The Polish pictures are pictures of Polish products that we have chosen.
Now let's compare as best we can by using the pictures only. Of course it is best to have the actual lamps in your hands, but we can do a fair job here.
Please look closely at the two sets of pictures. The Polish lamps are in the top row and the Pakistani lamps in the bottom row. You may click on the small images to have the larger images show in your screen.

Lighting
Note that the Polish lamps are bright. Note also that the larger lights have a couple bright spots. That is because they have more than one light installed. Of course it is important for beauty, but also it is very important for proper heating to give off healthy ions. And then look at light placement. Note how each lamp is lighted differently so that the best characteristics of the crystal are displayed.
The Pakistani lamps are dull. The larger lamps have only one light. Note how parts of the Pakistani lamps are effectively unlighted. Not only do they lack the sparkle and beauty of the Polish lamps, the Pakistani lamps won't get warm enough to give off the healthy ions that many of your customers need. Please remember that many people buy lamps for health reasons. They need a properly heated light. The Pakistani lights are not properly heated.
Also, the colors given off by these lights affects your physiological well being. To be effective they must be cheery, dancing, happy, romantic, and glowing. Look at the personality that proper lighting gives the Polish lamps. The Pakistani lamps tend to look like nothing more than dull, glowing embers. The Polish lamps are definitely a class above them.
Color
Step back from the computer screen and look at the colors.
The Polish salt deposits are a beautiful mixture of apricots, oranges, reds and whites. Sometime veins of salt run true to one color and others times they mix and have streaks of dark colors running through them.
The Pakistani lamps are generally red. There is no doubt that it is a nice, clear and pure red.
Apricot is said to help you to overcome emotional problems, to help you become more open minded, and to increase your vital energy.
Orange is said to help you relax, improve your body harmony, reduce stress, intensify your creative powers and help you enjoy life.
White is supposed to brighten your outlook on life, have a calming effect, help your concentration and enrich your emotional life.
Red, the provocative color, is supposed to increase your vital forces and boost your level of energy.
Not all our customers want the provocative color. In fact we have found that most of them want the apricot and orange.

Shape
Each salt crystal has its own characteristics. Polish crystal is cut to best bring out the beauty of each individual crystal. You can see the variety in just these few examples.
The Pakistani lamps are really quite unimaginative. They show no creativity. In fact, they are really quite dull.
Polish lamps are carefully hand chipped, and creatively shaped to bring out the natural individuality of each salt crystal. They are made with care.
Finish
Now click on the left hand picture of the Pakistani lamps. Look at how smooth the surfaces are. They are smooth because they were shaped with water jets. That is a fast, cheap process that does not require much training or thought. The lamps almost look like they are plastic.
Compare this to the Polish lamps. Click on any of the pictures. Note the sharp edges that the designer used to present the beauty and color of the crystal. And then note the little white spots on the crystal and grainy effect in the pictures. The spots and grains show because the surfaces are rough. When the crystal is hand chipped little crystals stick out all over the surface of the lamp. The edges of these small crystals cast light in many ways and give a unique effect that has made Polish salt crystal lamps so popular.
Base
The bases of the Polish lamps are full bases that cover the entire bottom of the lamp. The lamps do not look like they are sitting on a little saucer.
Wiring
Look at the Pakistani lamps. What do you think of that wiring? You should see what some of it looks like in real life. When I fall asleep with my salt lamp on, I am not interested in having a lamp with third world country wiring.
Here is an example of Polish wiring. Notice the in line switch. Polish lamp wiring carries electrical safety certificates.

Also please note that you can easily remove the base from the salt lamp crystal and change the bulb. Shown is a 15 watt bulb. Polish lamps come with 15 to 45 watt bulbs. And they are, of course, wired to your country's electric system requirements.
Price
The wholesale prices of Pakistani lamps in the most popular sizes bought by the retail customer are usually one to two dollars cheaper than the Polish lamps.
Now comes the decision point. When you consider the retail price of these lamps, is that cost savings worth it?
Our answer to that is, "No." We are selling quality and service. And we are selling our products to small shops and health practitioners all over the world that depend on their reputations. So we back them up with good product. And we think that that is worth a dollar or two on the wholesale price.

End Notes
Because I work internationally, I spend many night hours on my computer. And up here near the Artic Circle many times there are not many hours of daylight. Life can get quite depressing during the long dark hours in the middle of the winter.
I depend on my salt lamps to add some glow to my life. I have a large orange red one (with two lights for extra effect) next to my computer screen. And I have two small apricot lamps on shelves behind me. This room is absolutely beautiful.
The orange red lamp lights my desk, but does not bother my eyes, and eats up the unhealthy ions that are emitted by my computer monitor.
The apricot lights add a cheery glow, somewhat like the light from a bright and happy fireplace, to the room
International trade sure got better when I added the salt lamps.
And I hope that you are not offended by my candid evaluation of these lamps. But I believe that you and I as business people have a social responsibility to provide good products to the consuming public. We must provide good product and straight information. So I only sell Polish salt lamps and I tell it the way I see it.
If you want good service, and good Polish salt lamps, of course, I hope that you will contact me. Just click on the link under my picture.
